Dr. Barbee Oakes shares techniques and tools to improve your cultural intelligence and break down the barriers to inclusion in your classroom or workplace. This course offers approximately 8 hours of video content, as well as additional materials and resources.

Learning Objectives:

• Develop skills and apply tools to improve cultural intelligence: By the end of this course, learners will be able to identify and utilize specific techniques and tools to enhance their cultural intelligence and dismantle barriers to inclusion within their classrooms or workplaces.
• Implement the concept of the "Illusion of Inclusion": Learners will be able to explain the "Illusion of Inclusion," recognize its manifestations in organizational settings, and evaluate its impact on diversity efforts.
• Assess the influence of organizational culture on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) efforts: Learners will be able to assess how organizational culture affects diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives and how to address these factors to foster a more inclusive environment.
• Implement actionable strategies to foster inclusion: Learners will be able to formulate and apply practical steps to create and sustain inclusive practices within their organizations, ensuring long-term, measurable impact on diversity and belonging efforts.
